PELCO easiGlow ™ The glow discharge cleaning system is a cost-effective, compact, and user-friendly system used for cleaning and surface treatment of TEM grids and supporting films. After gas glow discharge treatment, the surface of the TEM carbon support film, which is lipophilic, becomes negatively charged and hydrophilic, making it easy for the aqueous solution to disperse.
As the workload of TEM increases, the use of clean and reproducible TEM grids and supporting films has become more important than ever before. PELCO easiGlow ™ The glow discharge cleaning system is worth having in any TEM laboratory, and its unique advantages include:

The system includes two independently controlled gas inlets, and the vacuum degree is set by an electronically controlled precision proportional valve. The innovative design avoids manual setting of the needle valve. The gradual deflation program ensures that the TEM grid is not damaged during deflation.
For laboratories that frequently perform hydrophilic and hydrophobic surface treatments, a dual glow discharge system (Figure 2) is provided to avoid cross contamination in the sample chamber.
