The CMP3 total radiation meter is used to measure solar irradiance. It adopts a thermopile sensor structure to measure the solar energy received throughout the entire solar spectrum and hemisphere (180 degree viewing angle). Its output is measured in watts per square meter. The CMP3 total radiation meter is designed for continuous indoor and outdoor use.
The CMP3 Total Radiation Meter (compliant with ISO 9060:1990 Level 2 requirements) is specifically designed to measure solar shortwave total radiation within the spectral range of 300-2800nm. Its thermopile detector can measure irradiance up to 2000 W/m ², with a response time of<18 seconds, a typical sensitivity value of 10 µ V/W/m ², and a variation of no more than 5% within the temperature range of -10 º C~+40 º C.
The CMP3 total radiation meter is equipped with a unique white buckle sunshade, integrated with leveling function, and also has a weatherproof connector - a 10m signal cable is pre connected for easy installation. An optional installation pole and longer cable length can be utilized. Two CMP 3 devices can be installed back-to-back to form a low-cost albedo meter.
This total radiation meter does not require any power supply. When receiving incident radiation, it can provide a low voltage of 0-20mV. When a higher voltage or 4-20mA signal is required, AMPBOX is recommended.
