Counting Camera - Wide Field Imaging FLIM
Photon counting is a method of obtaining as much information as possible from light. Here, our proposed time-dependent single photon counting camera system can not only detect the arrival time of individual photons, but also locate them intuitively like a camera. The single photon counting camera LINCam can extend any simple wide area microscope into a powerful fluorescence lifetime imaging system.
The time correlated single photon counting camera LINCam is a camera that solves the problem of single photon counting without scanning time correlation. This time-dependent single photon counting camera can accurately distinguish the X and Y positions of individual photons, with a precision time resolution of 1000 * 1000 pixels and 50ps. When paired with a pulsed light source, the time-dependent single photon counting camera LINCam makes any traditional fluorescence microscope a powerful lifetime measurement instrument. LINCam, a single photon counting camera with ready-made optical components, is also a solution for macroscopic applications.

Wide field TCSPC fluorescence lifetime microscopy imaging FLIM
Example of fluorescence lifetime imaging of lily samples: The intensity image (a) is a histogram of the positions where photons are obtained. Fluorescence lifetime analysis revealed four components: τ1=0.19ns; τ2=0.67ns; τ3 = 1.95ns; τ4 = 3.75ns。 The resulting overlay image (b) displays the intensity image and average lifespan.
Data collection and processing:
The acquisition system integrates functions such as time amplitude converter TAC, analog-to-digital converter ADC, power supply, and reference signal constant ratio discriminator CFD.
