Adsorption tube: outer diameterA stainless steel tube with an inner diameter of 6.3mm and a length of 5mm and a polished inner wall of 90mm. The sampling inlet of the adsorption tube is marked at one end. The adsorption tube can be filled with one or more adsorbents, and the adsorption layer should be placed in the heating zone of the desorption instrument. According to the density of the adsorbent, the adsorption tube can be filled with 200-1000mg of adsorbent, and the ends of the tube are blocked with stainless steel mesh or fiberglass wool. If multiple adsorbents are used in an adsorption tube, they should be arranged in the order of increasing adsorption capacity and separated by glass fiber wool. The adsorbent with the weakest adsorption capacity should be loaded at the sampling inlet of the adsorption tube.

Tenax TA adsorption tubes can be glass tubes or stainless steel tubes with smooth inner walls, containing 200mg of Tenax TA adsorbent with a particle size of 0.18mm to 0.25mm (60 mesh to 80 mesh). Before use, nitrogen should be used to heat and activate. The activation temperature should be higher than the desorption temperature, and the activation time should not be less than 30 minutes until there are no impurity peaks. When the flow rate is 0.5L/min, the resistance should be between 5kPa and 10kPa.

The material of the sampling tube is stainless steel or hard glass, and the filling inside should not be less than200mg Tenax (60-80 mesh) adsorbent (or other equivalent adsorbent), fixed at both ends with stainless steel mesh or quartz wool with pores smaller than the adsorbent particle size to prevent the adsorbent from falling off. The position of the adsorbent inside the tube should be at least 15mm away from the inlet end of the tube, and the length of the adsorbent filled should not exceed the size of the heating zone.
