The sulfuric acid rapid analyzer is highly suitable for determining the sulfuric acid content in chromium plating solutions. This method does not require a working curve, it is simple and fast, and the analysis results can be obtained in about ten minutes. Due to the use of standard solution calibration method, measurement errors caused by various factors such as uneven instrument speed and unstable voltage have been overcome, improving the reliability and accuracy of analysis results.

The sulfuric acid rapid analyzer is easy to operate and can be used for on-site rapid analysis in chrome plating production workshops, accurately controlling the sulfuric acid content in chrome plating tanks. It can also be extended to rapid determination of sulfate content in other solutions.

Reagent specifications and preparation:

Reagent specifications:① Hydrochloric acid sulfuric acid analyzer: analytical grade; ② Barium chloride: analytical grade; ③ Anhydrous sodium sulfate: analytical purity content greater than99%.

Reagent preparation:

25%Barium chloride solution:250Dissolve pure barium chloride in gram analysis1000Milliliters of distilled water.

31Hydrochloric acid solution:3Volumetric hydrochloric acid and1Mix distilled water by volume.

Analysis method of sulfuric acid rapid analyzer:

1Take the chrome plating solution (filter if the solution is not clean) and cool it to room temperature20Take the above chrome plating solution with a milliliter pipette20Add milliliters into the centrifuge tube and use a pipette to add31hydrochloric acid5Milliliters, cover and shake well, add25%Barium chloride solution5Milliliters, cover and shake well.

Check for accuracy and cover the lid with the back cover——Check and adjust the speed regulator to zero position - turn on the power - set the instrument timer to4Minute position - gradually raise the speed controller to1400change/Divide. After the centrifuge reaches the set working time and automatically stops rotating, turn the speed controller back to zero, turn off the power switch, take out the chrome plating solution centrifuge tube and the standard solution centrifuge tube, and read the scale values of these two centrifuge tubes respectively.

4Calculation of sulfuric acid content:

Sulfuric acid content (grams)/Rising)=Scale value of chrome plating solution centrifuge tube ×2.5/Scale value of standard solution centrifuge tube.

Precautions for sulfuric acid rapid analyzer:

1The centrifuge should be placed firmly.

2Two centrifuge tubes must be placed into the centrifuge simultaneously and filled with the same volume of solution, otherwise it will become unbalanced during high-speed operation and damage the centrifuge.

3The centrifuge tubes have undergone calibration and balanced pairing, and should be used in pairs.

4After the measurement is completed, immediately adjust the speed controller to zero position and clean the centrifuge tube, pipette, etc. in a timely manner.
