Introduction to Spiral Chute

Spiral chute is a new type of equipment developed in 1977 that combines the advantages of spiral beneficiation machine, shaking table, and centrifugal beneficiation machine. It is the best equipment for mining and beneficiation, especially for sand mining in coastal areas, riverbanks, sand beaches, and streams.
Spiral chutes are suitable for sorting iron ore, ilmenite, chromite, pyrite, zircon, hematite, monazite, phosphorite, tungsten ore, tin ore, tantalum ore, niobium ore, as well as other non-ferrous metals, rare metals, and non-metallic mineral bodies with specific gravity differences, with particle sizes ranging from 0.3 to 0.02 millimeters. This equipment has the advantages of stable selection process, easy control, large allowable range of ore concentration variation, high enrichment ratio, high recovery rate, small footprint, low water consumption, simple structure, no need for power, large processing capacity, easy installation, convenient operation, small investment and quick results.


Working principle of spiral chute

Spiral chutes are composed of ore homogenizers, crosses (tripods), ore feeding troughs, spiral troughs, cutting troughs, gathering hoppers, and trough supports.

Raise the spiral chute, calibrate the vertical line, fix it in a suitable position with an iron frame or wood, and use a sand pump to send the ore sand to the two feeding ports on the top of the spiral. Add supplementary water and adjust the concentration of the ore slurry. The ore slurry naturally spirals downwards from high to low, generating an inertial centrifugal force in the rotating inclined flow velocity. Based on the differences in the specific gravity, particle size, and shape of the ore sand, the gravity and centrifugal force of the spiral flow separate the ore and sand. The concentrate flows into the concentrate hopper and is connected to the sand tank through a pipeline, and the tailings flow into the tailings hopper and are connected to the sand tank through a pipeline. Then, the sand pump is used to discharge them, completing the entire process of mineral processing.
