Soil heavy metal analyzer CADENCE
Cadence is based on HDFRF ® Technology can quickly and accurately quantify heavy metal elements such as cadmium in soil, and its excellent detection
Product details

Compliance testing of cadmium:

Cadence is based on HDFRF ® Technology can quickly and accurately quantify heavy metal elements such as cadmium in soil, and its excellent detection performance can meet the requirements of China's agricultural soil supervision regulations - the detection limit can easily cope with the regulatory limit of 0.3 mg/kg for cadmium elements. In addition, Cadence can also measure other heavy metals such as As, Pb, Cu, Ni, and Se in agricultural products such as rice and wheat. Whether you are an agricultural product inspector or an environmental assessor, Cadence allows you to test more samples in a shorter amount of time, enabling you to conduct more thorough analysis and improve your ability to make decisions on on-site land restoration and land classification.

Accuracy:

Given the complexity of soil matrix, national standard materials such as soil and sediment were selected for direct analysis of Cd element. The relative error between the measurement accuracy and the standard value was used to evaluate the testing accuracy of the instrument. The data in Figure 1 indicates that HDXRF can provide accurate results in both high and low cadmium content detection, including pollutant content below the regulatory limit of 0.3 ppm.

Portability:

• Fast and efficient on-site inspection
The product is lightweight and portable, while also possessing ultra-high precision for detection
Suitable for use in mobile laboratories or on-site trailers*
*(For optimal results, anti vibration plates should be used in mobile applications)

Repeatability:

Table 1 shows the results of multiple repeated measurements using Cadence on GSS-14 standard substance (cadmium content below the soil regulatory limit of 0.3ppm) to verify the stability of the method

Multi element analysis:

Cadence can also provide quantitative analysis for various heavy metal pollutants, as shown in Table 2. Cadence can directly measure more than 15 inorganic pollutants and is an essential screening and comprehensive tool for field survey workers

Rice application:

Cadence not only performs exceptionally well in detecting heavy metal pollutants in soils with complex matrices, but also achieves excellent accuracy in measuring other powders such as rice, as shown in Figure 2. The repeatability data for measuring rice reference materials using Cadence listed in Table 3 shows that the lower limit of quantification for rice is lower than the regulatory limit of 0.2 ppm, and Cadence's detection level is comparable to wet chemical methods.

HDXRF innovative technology:

Cadence adopts high-definition X-ray fluorescence (HDXRF) technology: Compared with traditional energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence technology (EDXRF), the detection performance is significantly improved. This technology uses advanced monochrome and focusing optics to significantly improve signal-to-noise ratio. Diagram 1 shows the basic configuration of HDFRF and the principle of monochromatic light focusing excitation. In this system, the hyperbolic curved crystal optical device (DCC) converts multi-color light from the radiation source into monochromatic light and effectively focuses it on a small area of the measured sample. The sample is excited by a focused monochromatic beam and emits fluorescent X-rays. The detector processes the signal to determine the elemental composition of the sample
