SZB water ring vacuum pump is a cantilever water ring vacuum pump that can be used to suction air or other non corrosive, insoluble, and solid particle free gases. The low suction pressure is -0.086Mpa. Widely used in industries such as machinery, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and other fields. Especially suitable for large water pump water intake. The SZB water ring vacuum pump currently produces the following models of pumps: SZB-4 and SZB-8. Among them, 4 (8) represents the gas volume (liters/second) when the mercury column height is 520 millimeters.

The structure of SZB water ring vacuum pump is shown in Figure 1. The working chamber consists of a pump body (2) and a pump cover (1). There are inlet and outlet ports on the upper part (see Figure 2), and a drain plug (15) on the lower part (see Figure 2). The pump cover has an arrow indicating the direction of rotation. The pump body has a packing box and a packing cover (5), and is sealed with packing (4). The screw hole (16) on the side of the pump body (see Figure 2) is used to supplement the water consumption of the water ring. The impeller (3) is made of cast iron, with 12 blades distributed radially and balanced with holes (two of which are for disassembly) to balance axial forces. The leaf wheel flat key (9) is connected to the shaft (10) and can slide along the axial direction to adjust the clearance. The shaft is made of high-quality steel and supported on two ball bearings (17) inside the pump bracket (6). The right end is directly connected to the motor through an elastic coupling (8). The bracket (6) is made of cast iron and has a stopper to ensure accurate connection with the pump body. There is a cavity between the bearings, which can store lubricating oil and can be lubricated with thin oil or butter. From the transmission direction, the SZB water ring vacuum pump shaft rotates counterclockwise (the right flange is the exhaust port, and the left flange is the intake port).

1. The suction and exhaust volume with vacuum degree ranging from 40% to 90% or pressure ranging from 0.05MPa to 0.15MPa varies with the size of the water supply, the gap size between the impeller and the side cover, and the gap size between the impeller and the side cover. Especially when the flow rate is small, if the adjustment is not accurate, it is more likely to cause a decrease.
2. The values in the table are obtained under the following conditions: ① Water temperature of 15 ℃; ② Air temperature is 20 ℃; ③ Gas relative temperature 70%; ④ Atmospheric pressure is 0.1013MPa.
3. The performance deviation within the table shall not exceed 5%.

Maintenance Instructions
1. Before starting the vacuum pump, it is necessary to check whether the rotation direction of the motor matches that of the pump. After starting the vacuum pump, check whether the packing is properly compressed (the packing should not be too tight, normal compression of the packing can cause water droplets to leak out of the pump) and whether the bearing operation and lubrication are normal.
2. After starting the vacuum pump, pour cooling water into the cooling pipe (screw hole installed on the side of the pump body) (16) on the pump. If there is a steam water separator, it can be injected from the steam water separator. The size of the water supply has an impact on the vacuum pump, pumping volume, and power consumption of the pump. Therefore, the size of the water supply pipe should be strictly controlled within the specified range to maintain the pressure It is advisable to have a pressure of around MPa, so valves should be installed on the water supply pipeline to adjust the measurement size of the water supply.
3. When the vacuum pump is running normally, it is necessary to check for vibration, listen carefully for any noise inside the pump, and measure the temperature of the packing box and bearings (the normal bearing temperature should not be higher than the ambient temperature by 35 ℃, but the working temperature should not exceed 70 ℃). If the temperature is too high, the machine should be stopped immediately to check the cause.
4. When a vacuum pump is used as a water pump for water intake, it sucks out all the air inside the pump during operation until the water inside the pump is sucked out. Then, the pump is started, and after the pump is working normally, the vacuum pump is stopped and the valve in the suction pipeline is closed.
5. The vacuum pump must be stopped in the following order.
1) Close the gate valve on the intake pipeline.
2) Close the gate valve on the water supply pipeline. It is not advisable to stop the pump immediately after stopping the water supply. The pump should continue to run for 1-2 minutes to discharge some working fluid.
3) Turn off the electric motor. 4) If the parking time exceeds one day, the screw plug at the bottom of the pump body must be opened to drain the water inside the pump body.
6. When the pump is used under the following conditions, auxiliary equipment should be installed.
1) Dust must be removed from the air or gas, and a filter must be installed on the intake pipe.
2) When the extracted gas contains a large amount of steam, a condenser must be installed in front of the intake pipe.
3) When extracting corrosive gases, neutralization must be carried out before entering the pump.
4) The temperature of the extracted gas or air exceeds 35 ℃, and it must pass through a cooling device before entering the pump to ensure that its temperature does not exceed 35 ℃.
5) When the extracted gas or air contains a large amount of liquid, a separator must be installed before the inlet pipe of the pump.
6) The starting current of the pump often exceeds the rated current of the motor by several times, and a starting switch must be used.

maintenance
