SB-40 centrifugal concentrator
SB-40 Centrifugal Concentrator
Description:
The SB-40 concentrator retains the dense particles in the feed slurry to periodically produce small but relatively high-grade concentrates (1% by mass). The concentration level of concentrated materials may be high, usually measured in terms of metal percentage, such as 3% Au. The high grade obtained means a very low weight recovery rate, usually<1%. This product series can operate at temperatures up to 200 G, generate intermittent concentrated liquid flow, and have a maximum mass traction force of less than 1%. Need fluidized water.
The main application is to recover fine and coarse precious metals, including gold, silver, and platinum group metals, into high-grade concentrates. The maximum particle feed size is 6 millimeters, however, it is recommended to screen for a size of 2 millimeters. The heaviest layer crosses over the concentrate bed retained in the trough at the top of the drum.
Adding back pressure water from behind the shallow bed can cause heavy target particles to migrate to the bottom of the bed, while prioritizing the retention of lighter particles.
High G-values can even effectively recover very fine particles, while the depth of the concentrate bed can handle coarser particles in the feed stream. When the bed layer accumulates to a sufficient level, stop feeding, and the rotor decelerates. The built-in spray manifold flushes the concentrated liquid under the rotor baffle and discharges it from the rotor outlet. This semi batch process is very suitable for the recovery of fine primary metals (Au, Ag, Pt). Adding process water can enable these devices to process coarser feed streams. SB equipment is suitable for recovering small (as low as 10 microns) and coarse precious metals in their free state.
The grade of concentrate may be very high, usually measured in terms of metal percentage (i.e. 3% gold, etc.). The high grade obtained means a very low weight recovery rate, usually<1%. The heaviest layer crosses over the concentrate bed retained in the trough at the top of the drum. The SB-40 intermittent concentrator is made of stainless steel, except for the wear-resistant UHMW filter cup. It has a variable speed drive.
