Pulp Density Scale
Installation:The support ring with a diameter of 2-1/2 inches provides a method for freely hanging the scale mechanism in space.
Adjustment:Fill the plastic bucket with clean water into the overflow hole. The position of the bucket overflow hole should be able to accommodate slightly more than 1000 cc. Fill the bottom of the slot to an appropriate height to allow overflow at 1000 cc. Hang it on the scale hook, turn the zero adjustment screw directly above the scale hook until the scale pointer is vertical, and read 1.000 on the outer ring of the dial. The scale has now been calibrated.
Determine the specific gravity of dry solids:For this purpose, use the innermost circle marked to determine the specific gravity of the dry solid. The material sample used for measurement should be dry, with -10 mesh and+100 mesh. Hang the dry empty bucket on the pulp density scale; Then pour in the dry material sample until the pointer indicates 1000 grams (1.000 kilograms) on the outer ring of the dial. At this point, the bucket will hold one kilogram of dry material. Pour the sample material onto a rolling cloth or paper. Inject about one-third of the water into the bucket. Slowly pour the sample into the bucket, ensuring that all materials are completely wetted and all bubbles are eliminated. After pulping the material in this way, please add clean water until the bucket is filled with overflow water level.
Sampling:Fill the plastic bucket with the pulp or liquid that needs to be measured. The liquid level should reach the overflow hole on the bucket. Any overflow from the outside of the bucket should be washed away. Hang the bucket on the scale to determine the specific gravity or percentage of solids.
Determine the specific gravity of pulp:To obtain the measurement value, hang the suspended water bucket proportionally and read directly on the white outer ring where the pointer stops.
Determine the percentage of solidsHang the filled water bucket proportionally. Select the correct dial ring based on the specific gravity of the dry solid material. For example, if the dry solid density of the material is 2.2 in the vertical column at the center, indicating the density of the dry solid, and the outer red circle is 2.2, you will see a solid percentage of 44. At a density of 2.6, the solid percentage in the next inner circle is 39. For a density of 2.8, the reading is 37.25%. At a density of 3.2, the reading is 35%. At 3.6:33%, 4.0:32%, and at 4.4, the reading is 31%.
Replace the watch panel:If the dial on the dial does not cover the dry solid specific gravity range unique to your operation, any interchangeable dial surface can be installed as follows:
1. Remove the scale and place it flat on the table.
2. Loosen the thumb screw on the side of the scale, and then lift the transparent cover and fixing ring.
3. Remove the two screws and washers near the center of the dial. Do not remove or bend the indicator.
When the pointer points directly to your body, hold the selected dial with both hands and place the gap in the dial directly above the pointer. Press the right side of the separated dial below the pointer, and then rotate the dial clockwise by 270 °. Then place the turntable under the pointer. Rotate the dial to the correct position using two screw holes and four positioning marks on the outer edge of the dial.
5. Reinstall the two screws and washers. Reinstall the glass cover and fixing ring, and tighten the wing screws.
be careful:The scale has been set up in the factory. Do not remove the back cover of the scale or make any internal adjustments. The scale has been carefully designed to achieve fault free operation, and if the mechanical device is not changed, it will provide accurate measurement results. The pulp density scale is accurate to+/-10 g.
