1、 Overview
Ultrasonic flowmeter adopts the principle of time difference measurement to measure the volumetric flow rate of liquid in pipelines. It has obvious advantages in the application of large-diameter pipelines, with extremely low investment cost, simple installation, stable performance, and is widely used in many industries.

Ultrasonic flowmeter plug-in sensor refers to an installation method in which a dedicated drilling tool is used to drill holes online on the measured pipeline without stopping production, so that the ultrasonic flowmeter sensor and the measured medium can directly contact each other to achieve flow measurement. This sensor solves the problem of signal reception and long-term measurement signal attenuation when measuring pipelines with thick scaling of ultrasonic flowmeters. It has the characteristics of non-stop installation, maintenance free, independent of pipe diameter, and no pressure loss. When the pipeline material is carbon steel or stainless steel, it can be directly welded for installation. For pipelines that cannot be directly welded, such as cast iron, fiberglass PVC、 Cement pipes and other materials require specialized pipe clamps made by the manufacturer before installation. To prevent water leakage, please provide the accurate outer diameter or circumference of the tested pipe when placing an order.

Ultrasonic flow meters can be equipped with fixed pipe segment sensors: Pipe segment sensors are a measurement method that uses flanges to directly connect pipe segment sensors to the measured pipeline. This sensor solves the problem of decreased measurement accuracy caused by human or inaccurate parameters of the measured pipeline during the installation process of external and inserted sensors. It has the characteristics of high measurement accuracy, good stability, and maintenance free, and is the future development direction of ultrasonic flow meters.
