PSM Position Sensing Module - The position sensing module is a fully packaged position sensing detector that can be used with On Trak's OT-301SL, OT-301DL, or OT-301 position sensing amplifiers to provide analog output proportional to the position of the light spot on the detector's active area. The PSM series is a plug and play solution, and all PSMs come with a miniature 9-pin connector that can be directly plugged into any On Trak position sensing amplifier. Simply turn on the power and the operation is very simple.
Each module contains a linear, bilateral, quadrilateral, or quadrant position sensing detector that can be selected from several different PSM component configurations. All modules are easy to package, allowing for simultaneous monitoring of position and light intensity. The PSM position sensing module has two packaging sizes: standard and compact. The standard size is 2.8 inches x 2.45 inches x 1.125 inches. The compact size is 1.25 inches x 1.25 inches x 0.975 inches. PSM can operate in harsh environmental lighting conditions. Each module can have a complete range of optional filters to reduce the noise impact caused by ambient light. In addition, each module includes a filter bracket at no additional cost. All PSMs have standard mounting holes for easy installation on existing laboratory equipment, easy to operate, and can run the equipment in minutes.
