summary

PM-1820 WS is suitable for measuring particulate emissions from wet dust collectors and other flue gases below the dew point (low-temperature flue conditions) or with water droplets. The instrument continuously collects representative samples from the flue, heats them above the dew point temperature to evaporate water droplets, and then measures the particle concentration under dry conditions. After the wet dust collector, using this heating extraction method and in-situ particle monitoring instrument can overcome the effects of condensation and water droplets. PM-1820 WS uses advanced ProScatter technology ™ The front scatter dust analyzer sensor (PCME QAL 181) is certified by TUV and MCERTS QAL1. The certification scope includes 0-15mg/m3 and 0-100mg/m3, and this sensor is suitable for monitoring the efficient emission reduction of desulfurization devices (FGDs). The monitoring of particulate matter emissions from wet flue gas desulfurization in coal-fired power plants using flue gas containing saturated steam is crucial. This instrument can monitor flue gas containing saturated steam while meeting the relevant requirements of PS-11 and EN14181.
Advanced ProScatter ™ The forward scattering dust analyzer technology can measure the light scattering from the laser source near the direction of particle advancement, resulting in improved signal-to-noise ratio compared to other technologies. It has excellent resolution and automatic zero drift inspection characteristics. This enables the instrument to achieve high stability measurements, even at low concentrations (<0.1 mg/m3) and in flue gas emissions exceeding 100 mg/m3.
High sensitivity (<0.1mg/m3) and reliability of particle concentration measurement in wet flue gas ducts
Extended system self-test, including gasification chamber and sampling pump, zero drift log and QAL3 span inspection data report, manual calibration function
Modular design that facilitates assembly, service, and transportation to the installation location of the flue
Automatic constant velocity sampling adjustment to maintain constant velocity conditions (requiring input from an external flow meter), accurately reflecting the actual working conditions of the flue
The entire system has no moving parts and no radioactive sources

There are also two types of wet flue systems to choose from, PCME QAL 181 WS and PCME VIEW 181 WS. PCME QAL 181 WS is certified by TUV, EN15267-3 defined by EN14181, and QAL1, with a certification range of 0-15 mg/m3. The PCME VIEW 181 WS is suitable for applications that do not require QAL1 certification.

main features
The PCME QAL 181 sensor uses a PCME (see ProScatter) in the PM-1820 WS application ™ The unique low angle forward scattering measurement principle of the forward scattering dust analyzer. The "cone angle" of the scattered light measured is greater than that obtained by traditional instruments, which makes:
Thanks to the improvement of signal-to-noise ratio, the sensor has higher resolution and sensitivity
Reduced the induction measurement error caused by changes in particle size, allowing the instrument to be used in a wider range of applications.

System self-test
The flow rate and heater temperature are continuously monitored during the sample collection process to avoid sample blockage or automatic measurement failure caused by insufficient heating. The system automatically displays measurement data during effective measurement, thus avoiding measurement errors during system preheating. In addition, additional heater devices are also added to the system to ensure that there is no condensation during sampling in the flue.

Module design and ease of maintenance
The system is designed for easy maintenance and cleaning of all major components, and the control system records all important measurement data and quickly diagnoses problems. This system makes the design of the safety shut-off valve independent of the flue, and can enter the gasification chamber and clean the inner chamber by opening the hinge heater cover. The truly modular design of PM-1820 WS makes it safe, easy to install, and easy to maintain, allowing for component disassembly and installation when installing instruments in the flue.

PM-1820 WS is suitable for:
• Smoke ducts below dew point/with water droplets
Through the wet dust collector collection device
• After passing through the flue gas desulfurization (FGD) device
The dynamic range of flue gas is 1-30m/s
• Corrosive flue gas (corrosion protection option)Variable particle size

Main applications
PM-1820 WS is used to monitor emissions in the following processes:
• Coal or oil fired power plants using FGDs
Waste incineration plants using wet dust collectors
Pulp and recycled paper boiler
The process of using wet dust collectors in metallurgy and chemical industry
Sugar dryer/boiler with high humidity flue gas
