The online Doppler current meter 5800/5810 is an upgraded version of the DCS4100. It can not only monitor ocean currents online, but also directly connect to other water quality sensors for multi parameter online monitoring (model 5810). This not only collects more water quality parameter information, but also improves measurement accuracy (by correcting the deviation of sound velocity in different water bodies through CTD measurement to improve measurement accuracy). For buoy applications, when magnetization interference occurs in the buoy body, an external compass can be used to solve the magnetization interference problem. The Doppler current meter adopts the backscattering acoustic Doppler principle, which has two orthogonal sensor axes with two sensors on each axis. Therefore, bidirectional measurement can be performed on each axis, which is a major advantage of this sensor. By enabling the forward measurement function, the instrument can use only two sensors facing the ocean current for measurement, greatly reducing the interference of sensors and eddy currents around the anchor chain. When the forward measurement function is enabled for measurement, only one sensor on each axis simultaneously sends acoustic pulses and receives acoustic pulse reflection signals from particles, thereby measuring the orthogonal velocity components of the X-axis and Y-axis. After tilt compensation, the horizontal velocity component is obtained. By measuring the velocity vectors of the X-axis and Y-axis and calculating the orientation of the built-in solid-state electronic compass, the velocity components in the north and east directions are calculated. After multiple measurements are averaged, the flow velocity and direction are output. The online Doppler current meter adopts dual frequency ZPulse technology, which can achieve higher accuracy for each pulse measurement. Therefore, users can achieve higher measurement accuracy or reduce power consumption by changing the number of measurement pulses (pings). The Doppler ocean current meter 5800/5810 can be directly connected to a computer or connected to smart Guard or Seaguard data acquisition devices through the Andra real-time data acquisition software for configuration. Andra real-time data acquisition software is an efficient and powerful tool used for the control and data collection of Andra marine equipment. |
