Olympus eddy current probe
Olympus eddy current probeVarious acquired brands including Nortec and NDT engineering. We offer over 10000 standard and customized eddy current probes, standard reference blocks, and accessories. This section describes various standard probes with different diameters, frequencies, and connector types.
Olympus also offers custom probes that can meet the requirements of special detection applications. The shape of the eddy current probe can be designed based on the contour of the workpiece or the standard of whether the probe is exactly installed in the fixed frame, in order to complete the detection operation faster and more accurately.
Right angle surface probe
Featuring a 90 ° curved tip and a stainless steel rod. The design purpose of this probe is for general surface crack detection. For this probe, we have various lengths, coil configurations, different curved tip lengths, and different connector options for users to choose from.
Flat axis surface probe
Equipped with a straight stainless steel rod. The design purpose of this probe is for general surface crack detection. For this probe, we have various lengths, coil configurations, and connector options available for users to choose from.
Diagonal axis surface probe (oblique rod surface probe)
Featuring a 30 ° or 45 ° curved tip and a stainless steel rod. The design purpose of this probe is for general surface crack detection. For this probe, we have various lengths, coil configurations, different curved tip lengths, and different connector options for users to choose from.
Flexible shaft surface probe (flexible rod surface probe)
The flexible copper rods of these probes can be bent into various shapes. The design purpose of this probe is for general surface crack detection. For this flexible surface probe, we have probes of various lengths, coil configurations, curved tip lengths, and connector options for users to choose from.
Curved shaft surface probe (curved rod surface probe)
Curved rod surface probe is a general-purpose stainless steel probe used for surface or near surface crack detection. This type of probe comes in various sizes, coil configurations, and connector options.
Pen type surface probe
Pen type surface probe is a general-purpose plastic tip probe used for detecting surface or near surface cracks. This type of probe has various coil configurations and connector options. The pen style surface probe has an adjustable ring for stronger stability.
All other surface probes
The dedicated probe series includes pen type 3551L probe, blade probe, plastic tip probe, finger probe, and spring-loaded probe.
Rotating plastic scanner probe
The rotating plastic scanner probe includes various expandable plastic tip probes and probes with stainless steel back shells, such as the SUB series, SPO-5965 series, SPO-3564 series, and standard series.
Rotating stainless steel scanner probe
The rotating stainless steel scanner probe includes various all stainless steel probes, such as standard series probes and SEU series probes.
All other scanner probes
Other rotating scanner probes include various specialized scanner probes, such as the adjustable X series, adjustable Y series, countersunk series, and countersunk stainless steel series.
Manual bolt hole probe
The manual bolt hole probe coil can be positioned in a direction perpendicular to the probe rod. You can rotate these probes by hand to inspect the bolt holes where the fasteners have been removed. Absolute coils and differential coils have standard (decimal and metric) diameters and customized diameters.
Point probe
Point probes are used to detect defects above and below the surface. The larger coil diameter and low-frequency operation characteristics of this type of probe are not only very advantageous for scanning larger areas, but also can detect larger defects, with detectable defect sizes generally equivalent to half of the probe diameter.
Circular/ring-shaped probe probe
Circular/face ring probes can be suitable for the diameter of various fastener ends. Its main purpose is to detect cracks near the surface without removing the fasteners. This type of probe has bridge and reflective configurations.
Sliding probe
The sliding probe is specifically designed to detect fasteners in rows. This type of probe operates in reflection mode and is used to detect defects on or near the surface. They come in various adjustable types and are suitable for detecting fasteners of different sizes and fixed types. Different types of probes are typically designed for different detection procedures.
Conductivity probe and standard test block
Conductivity probes are used to sort non-ferrous metals and determine the conditions or damage of heat treatment.
Weld probe
Weld probe is used to detect welds in iron materials. They provide a cost-effective solution that can replace magnetic particle testing (which requires cleaning the inspected parts before testing).
Cables and adapters
Olympus manufactures a variety of high-quality cables and adapters to be compatible with all models of eddy current probes.
Standard test block
Reference standard test blocks should be used in all applications, and we have many configurations and reference standard test blocks for various materials.
