Understanding of the application of water turbines in cooling towers
1、 The operation of a water turbine relies on the pressure of water. It is believed that the cooling tower water turbine must have a surplus head before it can be used. This is a mistaken understanding.
For cooling towers that meet national standards and are operating normally, the water flow entering the tower must have the pressure required for the cooling tower to spray and distribute water. The water turbine can operate normally with this water pressure, and there is no need to request additional excess water pressure. The inlet water pressure of a typical cooling tower should not be less than 3 meters. And our factory has developed water turbine technology, which can effectively utilize the efficiency of water turbines with a water head of 3 meters. So wind turbines can replace cooling towers that operate according to national standards, including newly equipped cooling towers.

2、 Water turbines work by relying on water pressure. The water pressure entering the tower has been used up, and after passing through the turbine, there is no water pressure left, which cannot be used for water distribution. This is a mistaken understanding.
The work done by a water turbine mainly consists of three types of energy. One is the kinetic energy of water flow. When the cooling tower is filled with water, from entering the turbine to the distributor, the non flowing flow velocity remains unchanged. There is no water flow diverted out of the closed circulating water pipeline of Guohui, and there is no loss. The kinetic energy is the product of mass and velocity, and the mass remains constant while the velocity remains constant, so the kinetic energy remains unchanged. The speed variation in the turbine is used to do work, but the velocity of the tail water of the turbine is reduced, and the kinetic energy is not lost throughout the entire flow of water, remaining until the inlet of the distributor. The second is that there is no loss of potential energy. The water turbine is positioned above the distributor, and its inlet and outlet are in the same horizontal line. The thermal energy is the product of height and mass, and the height of the inlet and outlet water levels remains unchanged, so there is no loss of thermal energy. Thermal energy was used when entering the turbine, but it was reduced when exiting the turbine. The third is pressure energy. Pressure energy is the product of water pressure and water mass. If all the pressure energy is used up, there is still kinetic energy, as well as the vertical height of thermal energy from the tailpipe of the water turbine to the distributor, which is sufficient energy for water distribution. However, the water turbine cannot use up all of it.
