Nanchang Agricultural Machinery EquipmentNanchang Irrigation Machine
The 19th century to the early 20th century was an era of the development and extensive use of new animal powered agricultural machinery. In 1831, C.H. McCormick successfully created the horse drawn harvester. In 1836, the Temara grain combine harvester appeared. Between 1850 and 1855, grain seeders, lawn mowers, and corn seeders were successively manufactured and promoted. At the beginning of the 20th century, tractors powered by internal combustion engines began to gradually replace livestock and were widely used as traction power for various field operations and to drive various fixed agricultural machinery.
In the late 1930s, H.G. Ferguson of Britain successfully created the suspension system for tractor tools, which integrated the tractor and tools into a whole and greatly improved the performance of tractor use and operation. The suspension system of agricultural tools operated by hydraulic systems also makes the operation and control of agricultural tools more lightweight and flexible. The agricultural machinery matched with tractors gradually shifts from traction type to suspension type and semi suspension type, reducing the weight and simplifying the structure of the agricultural machinery. Since the 1940s, grain combine harvesters in European and American countries have gradually shifted from towed to self-propelled. In the 1960s, harvesting machinery for fruits, vegetables, and other crops was developed. Since the 1970s, electronic technology has gradually been applied to the monitoring and control of agricultural machinery operation processes, gradually developing towards automation of operation processes.
In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, new animal powered agricultural tools such as plows, hoes, seeders, harvesters, and water trucks were widely developed. In the late 1950s, China began to establish an industry for manufacturing tractors and their supporting agricultural machinery. Luoyang Tractor Factory was built and put into operation in 1959. The ship type tractor (machine plowing ship), successfully created in 1972, provided various types of traction power for paddy fields in southern China, especially in the stagnant fields. By the end of 1984, the number of large and medium-sized tractors (excluding Taiwan Province) reached 854000, the number of small and manual tractors reached 3.298 million, the number of agricultural vehicles reached 350000, the number of agricultural irrigation and drainage power machinery reached 6.15 million, the number of agricultural water pumps reached 5.157 million, the number of agricultural machinery supporting large and medium-sized tractors reached 1.235 million, the number of agricultural machinery supporting small and manual tractors reached 2.918 million, the number of grain combine harvesters reached 35861, the number of feed crushers reached 1.139 million, the number of grinders, rice mills, ginning machines, and oil presses reached 3.881 million, and the total power of agricultural power reached 1.95 × 10 kilowatts. In 1984, the machine cultivated area reached 524 million mu, accounting for 39% of the total cultivated land area. The area of electromechanical irrigation reached 376 million mu, accounting for 56.4% of the irrigated area.
