Scope of application: The Karl Fischer method is used to determine the free water or crystalline water content of most organic and inorganic solid and liquid chemical products. Principle: Any water present in the sample (free water or crystalline water) reacts quantitatively with a known water equivalent of Karl Fischer reagent.
