High precision and fast response CO2 sensor in water
CONTROS HydroC ® CO2 sensor is an in-situ sensor for CO2, which can quickly measure the content of CO2 in water in situ or online. CONTROS HydroC ® CO2 sensors have broad adaptability and can be used in conjunction with various underwater platforms, such as ROV/AUV, long-term deployed seabed based observation platforms, buoys, anchor systems, profiling instruments, multi bottle water harvesters, and other equipment.
Independent 'In Situ' calibration
All sensors are independently calibrated in a water tank that simulates the ambient temperature. A precise reference detector is used to verify the concentration of ρ CO2 in the water tank, and the reference detector is recalibrated daily according to the secondary standard. This process * * CONTROS HydroC ® CO2 sensors can achieve both short-term and long-term measurement accuracy.
working principle
Dissolved CO2 molecules diffuse into the internal gas circuit of the sensor through a novel TOUGH ultra-thin permeable membrane, enter the detector chamber, and measure the partial pressure of CO2 using NDIR infrared absorption spectroscopy. The concentration of CO2 is closely related to the infrared light absorption intensity. After calibration coefficients stored inside the instrument and calculation correction of additional sensor data in the gas circuit, the absorption intensity is converted into a measurement output value.
Optional Accessories
Diversified accessory selection * * HydroC ® CO2 sensors can meet various personalized usage needs of customers. The design of underwater sampling pump and various overcurrent heads can achieve fast response of sensors; The anti biological attachment probe can protect the sensor from the influence of biological attachment; Built in data storage, CONTROS HydroB power management, and durable battery pack can serve as a guarantee for long-term observation.
