The BODTrakTM analyzer simulates the biodegradation process of organic matter in nature: the oxygen in the air above the test bottle continuously supplements the dissolved oxygen consumed in the water, and the CO2 generated during the degradation of organic matter is absorbed by lithium hydroxide in the sealed lid. The pressure sensor monitors the changes in oxygen pressure in the test bottle at any time. Establish a correlation between biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) (corresponding to the amount of oxygen consumed in the test bottle) and gas pressure, and directly display the BOD value on the screen.

The traditional dilution inoculation method is cumbersome and time-consuming, requiring dedicated personnel to supervise during the five-day cultivation process. Compared to this, the BODTrakTM analyzer is simple to operate, easy to test, and does not require dilution for water samples with BOD values less than 700mg/L. Put the tested water sample into the test bottle, connect the pressure sensor to the microprocessor control device, and the instrument can automatically complete the subsequent testing without supervision during operation. When the set cultivation time is reached, the testing system automatically shuts down and the experimental data is stored in the instrument for easy access.

The BODTrakTM analyzer can choose cultivation times of 5 days, 7 days, and 10 days, and can simultaneously produce six water samples. During the testing process, the instrument records the measurement results every 15 minutes, and the screen can display the BOD values that have been tested.
