overview
EDI is a revolutionary technology in water treatment. This technology applies the electric regeneration ion exchange desalination process to replace the traditional mixed ion exchange desalination process DI, achieving high desalination effect through ion exchange resin and selective ion membrane. The combined process with reverse osmosis enables the water quality to reach high specifications of 10-17 Ω• cm. EDI adopts standard component design and can be combined into any system according to requirements, with a water production capacity of 1-450m ³/h.
Working principle
Supplying raw water into the EDI system, the main part flows into the resin/membrane, while the other part flows along the outer side of the membrane plate to wash away ions that have passed through the membrane. Resin intercepts dissolved ions in water. Under the action of the electrode, the trapped ions move towards the positive electrode, while the anions move towards the negative electrode. Anions pass through the cation membrane and are expelled from the resin/membrane. Anions pass through the anion membrane and are expelled from the resin/membrane. The concentrated ions are discharged from the wastewater flow path. Ionic free water flows out from the resin/membrane.
characteristic
Electronic mixed bed (EDI) products are a revolutionary new technology of the 21st century, which replaces traditional DI mixed resin beds with EDI process systems to produce deionized water. It can greatly improve productivity and eliminate the pollution of "three wastes". EDI equipment for pure water regeneration does not require the addition of any chemical acids or alkalis. Greatly reducing production costs. EDI equipment does not need to shut down the water production system during regeneration, and can operate continuously or intermittently. EDI produces stable water quality and is easy to operate. EDI modules are relatively small and lightweight per unit of traffic in the market; Therefore, EDI tends to be compact, with consistent water production quality, less energy required, and economical use of funds to save operating costs.
