MICRO destructive thickness gauge
1、 Working principle:
P. The I.G coating thickness gauge uses a hard joint with a certain slope to scratch the coating and plating on the substrate. The instrument's built-in ruler magnifies the width of the scratch and multiplies it by a certain coefficient according to the trigonometric relationship to obtain the thickness of the single or multiple layers of the coating being measured.
2、 Application areas:
1. Directly measure the thickness of coatings and coatings on plastic, ceramic, wood, cement, glass, and soft metal substrates.
2. Evaluate the surface condition of the substrate and the adhesion of the coating; Assess the accuracy of electromagnetic thickness gauges.
3. Evaluate the polishing and cleaning status of the workpiece.
3、 Measurement range:

Power supply: Two AA batteries
Scraper: Tungsten carbide
Composition: One main body (including a graduated magnifying glass)One LED light bulb cutKnife(10#)One, one leather case, one pen, two batteriesOne wrench, instruction manual, box;
5、 Instructions for use:
1Place the sample horizontally (choose a 4 * 10cm plane when selecting the template),Mark the points to be tested on the template with the original black marker pen,Place the side of the instrument with the blade horizontally on the sample, pull the instrument horizontally towards the support foot and scratch through the coating
2. Place the surface of the instrument with the blade horizontally on the sample, pull the instrument horizontally towards the support foot and cut through the coating to turn on the bulb switch. Place the surface of the instrument with the bulb on the broken coating, align it with the broken position, and find the area with the marker pen color,Use a hard alloy blade with a certain slope to scratch the coating and plating on the substrate. Use the built-in ruler of the instrument to enlarge and read the width of the scratch, and then multiply it by a certain coefficient according to the trigonometric relationship to obtain the thickness of the single or multiple layers of the coating being measured.
3. Adjust the microscope focal length to make the coating and scale lines clear,There are a total of 40 small grids on the scale, starting from 0 with 20 on each side.
4. Align the scale value with the color boundary of the marker pen to the width of the plane of the substrate color boundary, and read the width of the plane,Scale value of coating,Multiply the obtained scale value by the coefficient corresponding to each cutting head to obtain the thickness of the measured coating
