1overview
The DWLX315 series remote water meter belongs to the high-tech product of mechatronics integration. It adopts advanced wireless transmission technology and converts the measurement information of traditional mechanical water meters into electrical signals and stores them through microelectronic control circuits. Measurement data can be collected at regular intervals and sent to the backend system through the IoT network, or transmitted to the backend system through a meter reading machine.

7、 Selection, installation, and use of water meters
1. It is recommended to determine the type, measurement characteristics, and diameter of the water meter based on the working conditions of the water supply facilities. The expected flow rate should be compatible with the Q1 to Q3 flow rates of the water meter.
2. The installation of the water meter must follow the instructions on the water meter dial: the "H" mark indicates horizontal installation, and the "V" mark indicates vertical installation. The direction of the arrow on the watch case should be consistent with the direction of water flow in the pipeline.
3. Install plugs or globe valves upstream and downstream of the water meter, and install straight pipe sections of sufficient length and diameter according to the requirements of U5, D3 (5DN, 3DN) to ensure accurate measurement.
4. It is necessary to prevent damage to the water meter caused by the impact and vibration of the surrounding environment of the installation site.
5. The water meter should avoid excessive stress caused by pipes and fittings. When necessary, the water meter should be installed on a base or bracket. The upstream and downstream water pipes should be properly fixed to ensure that no part will shift due to the pushing force of water when removing the water meter or disconnecting one side connection.
6. Before installation, the main pipeline should be flushed to prevent debris such as stones and mud from entering the water meter.
7. To ensure long-term operation of the water meter, it should always be filled with water. It is recommended that the water outlet faucet be at least 0.5m higher than the water meter.
8. Measures should be taken to prevent adverse hydraulic conditions (cavitation, surges, water hammer) from damaging the water meter.
9. Water meters should be protected from exposure to sunlight and freezing, and anti freezing measures should be taken during freezing periods. Water meters should be protected from external environmental corrosion that may cause damage to the water meter.
10. During long-term use, water meters should be periodically calibrated according to local requirements. If there are debris, rust or other sediments blocking the water filter in the pipeline, which affects accurate measurement, it is necessary to recalibrate the water meter through a designated department. Users are not allowed to repair the water meter at will.
11. This type of water meter is suitable for pressure stable water supply systems. To avoid and reduce the impact of unstable pipeline pressure on the water meter, it is recommended to install a pipe joint with a check valve at the inlet end of the water meter and try to exhaust the gas in the pipeline behind the water meter as much as possible.
12. If the water meter is used in a harsh environment and the self rotation of the water meter cannot be eliminated after installing a check valve and emptying the gas in the pipeline at the back of the water meter, the water supply enterprise should consider other methods to solve this problem (such as improving the pipeline network or replacing the water meter with a less sensitive one).
8、 Common faults and causes
1. When the water meter is not in use, the pointer intermittently rotates slightly, mostly due to water pressure fluctuations in the pipeline or air in the pipeline.
2. The pointer of the water meter rotates continuously and evenly when not in use, indicating that there is dripping and water leakage in the pipeline behind the meter.
3. The system has no data reporting and needs to be checked on-site using meter reading tools.
Note: The instrument battery should be replaced by a dedicated person and users are not allowed to replace it themselves.
9、 Transportation and Storage
1. Transportation: After the instrument is packed, it should be transported by means of non strong vibration transportation. During transportation, it should not be directly affected by rain, frost, fog, etc. It should be placed upwards according to the markings and not be damaged by compression or impact. The environmental conditions for transportation shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of JB/T9329 standard.
2. Storage: The product should be stored indoors in a dry, well ventilated environment, without strong magnetic fields, and without corrosive media in the air. Environmental temperatureDegree (5-50) ℃, relative humidity not exceeding 90%.
