DSG series densitometer

Simple, reliable, and precise

A fast and accurate densitometer suitable for busy laboratories and factories

Bellingham+Stanley, as a trusted brand of our customers, has launched the DSG series instrument kit to meet their demand for highly reliable, high-quality and practical instruments. Bellingham+Stanley's DSG series densitometer offers two unique models to choose from, providing great flexibility and ease of use.

Easy to use, easy to clean, and accurate results

Our goal is never just to provide an accurate and reliable densitometer. In addition, the instrument needs to be easy to use and clean, and achieve excellent traceability.

The DSG series instruments are equipped with a large and eye-catching capacitive touch screen, and use the same intuitive GUI as the ADP polarimeter and RFM refractometer. Through this color coded interface, users can easily complete common tasks and manage settings programs.

The powerful internal air pump and built-in desiccant mean that the DSG series does not require external devices to evacuate after cleaning, which means your valuable workspace will not be occupied by unnecessary peripheral devices.

The Peltier temperature control and precision vent can quickly stabilize the temperature, and through the synergy of hardware and software, accurate measurement results can be provided within 15 seconds.

Ready to use software support and integration out of the boxfunction

Provide easy-to-use software and intuitive instruments for your laboratory

The DSG series densitometer continues to use Bellingham+Stanley's proven touchscreen interface. For many years, it has been the GUI touch screen that has helped users of RFM refractometers and ADP polarimeters measure, calibrate, and analyze data in a fast and easy manner. The bright and clear interface design, as usual, will make Bellingham+Stanley's loyal users feel at home. New users of the system can enjoy an unprecedented user experience through an intuitive interface layout and quick access to commonly used controls, including "READ" and "METHODS".

DSG includes 4 commonly used measurement standards and 1 calibration standard. Calibration can be performed using air and water, and can be validated using certified CRM. The built-in air pressure sensor can check whether the chamber is dry, and the intelligent software can calibrate the pressure, allowing you to focus on sample preparation and other tasks.

Bellingham+Stanley's new intelligent upgrade

With the universal design language used in Bellingham+Stanley's high-quality engineering, the DSG series densitometer not only has an excellent touch screen (can be used with PPE gloves), but also has fast networking capabilities and multiple USB functions, including the ability to connect an external mouse/keyboard and convert data into PDF/ Export in CSV format to a USB drive. Large capacity memory means it can store over 100000 readings without the need to purchase expensive storage space.

Density measurement is extremely sensitive to temperature, so all DSG models are equipped with Peltier temperature control as standard for intelligent automatic calibration, without the need for manual operation.

U-shaped tube

The DSG density meter uses the principle of a U-shaped oscillating tube for measurement. The use of auxiliary oscillators allows instruments to monitor and adapt to long-term instrument drift and environmental influences, while also ensuring long-term calibration and correlation.

METHODS method system

The METHODS method system is a simple method for quickly obtaining the required measurement values. This effective method simplifies the process through four separate values: Density, Density+SG, Density+Brix, and Density+Ethanol% v/v+Ethanol% m/m.

Other ratios can be provided as required, depending on technical feasibility and data availability.

Quick reading

The measurement result shows a maximum time of no more than 15 seconds, depending on the selected mode. Activate intelligent temperature stabilization before reading to provide highly accurate results in ultra fast time.

Compliant with 21CFR Part 11

The design complies with FDA regulation 21CFR Part 11. No need for intermediate PC, onboard data protection, in compliance with regulations. Including electronic signatures with multiple verifications. Complete audit trail and printing are standardized to protect PDF functionality.

High performance across applications

Regardless of the industry it is applied to, it has ultra-high precision and advanced functions

The DSG densitometer has extremely high accuracy, application compliance (including electronic signatures), and a temperature measurement range of up to 95 ° C. Its design can meet the different needs of various industries. Whether it is seasoning and soft drinks in the food and beverage industry, or raw material testing in the pharmaceutical industry, density measurement is the key to production control and quality assurance. Using the DSG densitometer in conjunction with Thermo Fisher's supplementary instruments can help you achieve a complete production process. DSG density meters are suitable for, but not limited to, the following industry examples.

pharmacy

Density measurement in the pharmaceutical industry is applicable to multiple fields, including batch testing, production control, and even raw material analysis for procurement. Density measurement is mentioned in over 100 pharmacopoeias of the United States/European Union/Japan/United Kingdom, so having instruments that meet strict standards is crucial. The DSG density meter meets this requirement.

Common methods: Density + SG

Alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, apple cider, and spirits)

Beer, wine, apple cider, and spirits producers around the world use scientific instruments to monitor the quality of their products and calculate the percentage of alcohol. Although home brewers may be accustomed to using a simple densitometer, the advantage of a densitometer is that it can provide more accurate readings with fewer samples. The DSG densitometer can provide users with a large amount of information about a sample, sufficient to accurately determine the volume or weight of alcohol, which is crucial for accurate declaration, payment of tariffs, and quality control.

Common methods: Density + Ethanol %Vol/v + Ethanol %Mass/m (ABV/ABW)

Industry

Although certain chemicals can be measured using other devices such as digital refractometers, the closed-loop nature of DSG density meters can prevent the evaporation of volatile organic compounds, thereby improving the accuracy of results. After measurement, the instrument can be automatically cleaned, making it safer to handle irritating chemicals. It can easily measure biodiesel and petroleum based products (such as E10), and wax, ethylene glycol, and battery acid can also be safely read.

Common methods: Density + SG

Food and Beverage

Measuring density in food and beverages is mainly used for quality control, and is an important link in the entire production process from raw material testing to quality inspection at the end of the production line. The DSG densitometer can be used to evaluate the sugar content in soft drinks and the "milk fat content" of milk in the dairy industry.

Common methods: Density + Brix
