1SOFTENworking principle:
The hardness of water is mainly composed of cations such as calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions. When the raw water containing hardness ions passes through the resin layer of the exchanger, the calcium and magnesium ions in the water are replaced by the sodium ions in the resin. The resin adsorbs the calcium and magnesium ions, and the sodium ions enter the water. In this way, the water flowing out of the exchanger is softened water without hardness ions. As the exchange process continues, all Na+ions in the resin are removed and the exchange function is lost. At this time, NaCl solution must be used to regenerate the resin, replacing the Ca2+and Mg2+adsorbed by the resin. The resin re adsorbs sodium ions and restores its softening exchange ability. Softener is widely used for softening the supply water of steam boilers, hot water boilers, exchangers, evaporative condensers, air conditioners, direct fired engines and other systems. It can also be used for the treatment of domestic water in hotels, restaurants, office buildings, apartments, homes, and other industries, as well as for the treatment of softened water in food, beverage, brewing, laundry, printing and dyeing, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries. 6、 Use
After connecting all the interfaces, turn the valve of the water softener to the backwash position, then open the valve and connect the water source for about 10-15 minutes to backwash. The backwash intensity is generally controlled to prevent the filter material from being washed out. At the end of the backwash, slowly close the valve at the inlet to reduce the backwash flow rate, which is conducive to the stratification and sedimentation of the filter material.
After the backwash is completed, turn the valve of the water softener to the positive wash mode, then open the valve and connect the water source. The washing time is about 10-15 minutes, and the washing intensity is generally controlled so that the filter material is not washed out. At the end of the washing, slowly close the valve at the inlet to reduce the washing flow rate, which is conducive to the stratification and sedimentation of the filter material.
After the washing is completed, turn the multi way valve of the water softener to the running mode, then open the valve and connect the water source. At this point, clean softened water can be used.
1) Do not use the released water. After releasing about 20L of water, it can be used normally.
2) The raw water used should be municipal tap water or other centralized water supply.
3) The saltwater concentration during regeneration is 60%.
4) Please close the inlet valve of the water softener when unattended or not in use.
7、 Maintenance and upkeep
The service life of filter media may vary depending on various maintenance factors such as raw water temperature, pressure, quality, usage of soft water, and usage environment. The following data is for reference only.
1. The general service life of filter media is about 2-3 years.
The regeneration time of a water softener is generally 20 tons of water per cycle.
3. Softwater machine regeneration: First, put a certain amount of edible non iodized salt into the salt tank, and then turn the multi way valve on the water machine to the water filling position. At this time, the water machine automatically adds tap water to the salt tank. After the water level in the salt tank rises to 80%, turn the multi way valve to the salt suction position. At this time, the water machine is in automatic regeneration mode until all the water in the salt tank is sucked up. At this point, one regeneration is completed.
4. Cleaning of water softener: Turn the multi way valve to the positive washing mode, and the positive washing time is about 10-15 minutes. After the positive washing is completed, turn the multi way valve to the running mode, and the water softener can operate normally again.
5. The working pressure of the water softener is 0.1-0.3Mpa, the water temperature does not exceed 40 degrees, and the ambient temperature is 5-45 degrees.
6. After using the water softener for three or four days, please drain a small amount of soft water when reusing it; To ensure the normal operation of the water softener, please do not disassemble or assemble it without authorization. In case of any malfunction, please contact the manufacturer.

8、 Installation precautions:
1) All threads connected to the water softener should be wrapped with "raw material tape" to prevent water leakage.
2) Do not install in places close to heat sources.
3) Do not install near or above hot air or oil fumes.
4) Do not install in places with heavy acid, alkali, etc.
5) The space on both sides of the water softener shall not be less than 100mm.
6) For the normal operation and service life of the water softener, do not connect it to hot water, untreated groundwater, and surface water pipes.
7) This water softener can only be installed horizontally on flat ground.
