BYK Gardner electric cup protuberance tester is used to detect the elongation and damage of single coating and multi coating coatings on metal substrates:

-Electric hydraulic drive has extremely high reproducibility
-Eccentric clamp ring is easy to use
-C-type open clamp can accommodate test boards of different sizes
-The maximum measurable thickness of the test panel is 1.5mm
-Constant cupping speed of 0.2 millimeters per second
-All functions have three key controls
-Digital display with a resolution of 0.1 millimeters
-Compliant with DIN EN ISO 1520 standard

Operation steps
-Insert the trial partner into the C-shaped opening of the instrument
-Clamp the test plate
-Start the cup protrusion and observe the process through a microscope
-Push the spherical punch into the test plate at a constant speed (0.2 mm/s)
-Immediately stop the front top of the punch when * cracks are observed
-Read the depth value of the cup protrusion on the digital display
-Conduct at least three tests on a test panel
