Instrument Introduction
The BROOKFEED Falling Ball Viscometer KF20 is based on the Hoeppler measurement principle and is used for simple and accurate dynamic viscosity measurement of transparent Newtonian fluids. The core concept is to measure the actual time required for a sample tube tilted at a working angle (*) to descend under the action of gravity. The sample tube is assembled on a central bearing that allows the sample tube to quickly flip 180 degrees, allowing for immediate repeated measurements. The measurement results are based on the average time it takes for the falling ball to land in three measurements. Then use a conversion formula to convert the time reading into the final viscosity value.
The falling ball viscometer is used for QC control in various industries and research institutions. The easy-to-use and simple method of recording time measurements ensures meaningful test results.
When used in conjunction with a Brookfield constant temperature water bath, rapid temperature control of the sample is achieved, resulting in more accurate and highly reproducible results.
