Ammonia free preparation: For water samples with low ammonia nitrogen, ammonia free water should be used for dilution and reagent preparation. The preparation method is as follows: Distillation method: Add 0.1mL of sulfuric acid per liter of distilled water, re distill in a full glass still, discard 50ml of initial distillate, and take the remaining distillate into a stoppered ground glass bottle, seal and store. B ion exchange method: passing distilled water through a weakly acidic cation exchange resin column.

Preparation method of N2 reagent: Place a bottle of solid N2 reagent into a beaker and prepare 100mL of ammonia free solution. First, add about 30mL of ammonia free solution to the beaker, then stir thoroughly with a stirring rod to dissolve it, and then add the remaining ammonia free solution. If it is turbid, it can be placed until it becomes clear. If there is sediment, remove it and take the supernatant for use. (It is recommended to place the newly prepared product in a ground glass bottle for 4-5 hours or overnight before use);
Preparation method of N3 reagent: Dissolve one bottle of solid N3 reagent in 100 milliliters of ammonia free water and set aside for later use.
