The Thermo Scientific ASE accelerated solvent extractor uses common solvents to extract samples under heating and pressure, greatly improving extraction efficiency and reducing solvent consumption. Compared with Soxhlet extraction and microwave extraction, ASE only requires a very short time and uses the lowest amount of solvent to meet your various extraction needs. ASE 150 and ASE 350, which have been recognized as ASE technologies, are at the forefront of solvent extraction technology in the world. The developed ASE method is widely used in the environmental, pharmaceutical, food, polymer, and consumer goods industries. ASE is adopted by EPA methods 3545A and 6860, as well as ASTM D 7210 of the American Society for Testing and Materials.
Advantages of solvent extraction under high temperature and high pressure:
Improve the solubility of analytes and reduce solvent viscosity, making it easier for solvent molecules to enter the sample matrix; Improve the ability of molecular motion, making it easier for analytes to break free from the constraints of the matrix; Improve dispersion ability to facilitate the diffusion of analytes into solvents
Increase pressure to keep the solvent liquid throughout the extraction process
The latest DioniumTM material flow path design greatly expands the application range. The newly designed DioniumTM flow path has chemical inertness, allowing the new ASE to directly extract samples that have undergone acid-base treatment, greatly expanding the application range of ASE.
The high capacity, flexibility, and efficiency of ASE 150 and ASE 350 extractors bring many benefits to laboratories that require automatic extraction of solid and semi-solid samples. The ASE 150/350 extractor can process 1-100g of samples. The ASE 350 fully integrates the functions of ASE200 and ASE300, and is integrated with the solvent controller, reducing the size of the workbench. Both ASE 150 and 350 are equipped with fast pumps (70 mL/min) to improve work efficiency.
